The awards program, dubbed Culture’s Biggest Night, will premiere on BET on Sunday at 7 p.m. Sports players like Patrick Mahomes, the MVP of the previous two Super Bowls, will be honored alongside celebrities from the music and acting industries. Mahomes faces seven opponents in total, five of them are NBA players. LeBron James of the Lakers, Steph Curry of the Warriors, Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves, Jalen Brunson of the Knicks, and Kyrie Irving of the Mavericks are among them. The other candidates are boxer Gervonta Davis and quarterback Jalen Hurts of the Eagles. Hurts was the previous year’s winner.
