Erik ten Hag renders a judgment on Marcus Rashford after his sensational comeback to the team.

After Marcus Rashford scored goals in his comeback to the Manchester United starting lineup against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Erik ten Hag delivered his assessment of the player.

Rashford dominated the news cycle last week, but not for the positive reasons, as his team defeated Newport County 4–2.

A “internal disciplinary matter” was brought up against the England international after he was seen out and about in Belfast earlier in the week before the Newport match.

On Monday, United released a statement saying, “Marcus has accepted responsibility for his actions. This is now closed as an internal disciplinary incident that was handled.”
Rashford also returned to the United starting lineup for Thursday’s Premier League match against Wolves after coming under fire from the media.

Ten Hag said of Rashford’s goal to TNT Sports: “Yeah! We’ve scored more goals like that, which was a terrific team effort. After a lengthy build-up with a lot of guys participating, we get the switch and score a tremendous goal.

“I think the form is coming,” the Dutchman continued. “He has three goals and two assists in three or four games, so the last games are what you see consistently.”

The star of the show, though, was Kobbie Mainoo, who gave United a thrilling 4-3 victory in the 97th minute with a miraculous goal.
Ten Hag commented on the academy graduate’s performance, saying, “He is progressing incredibly.”

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has clarified

the reason behind Marcus Rashford’s exclusion from his team’s lineup for their FA Cup match against Newport County.

The Three Lions international has not gone to South Wales with the team, reportedly due to illness, and has stayed at Carrington.

This week, Rashford was spotted at a nightclub in Northern Ireland on both Wednesday and Thursday nights. Unverified rumors have been circulating that he has breached the club’s disciplinary policies once more.

“He is quite talented. He is the midfield player of today. He is able to both attack and defend. He is composed and possesses both physicality and knowledge.”
“Is Marcus Rashford not there? It’s an internal situation, BBC Sport been informed by the former Ajax manager.

“I’ll take care of it,” he continued.

Ten Since moving to Old Trafford, Hag has been embroiled in controversy due to a number of well-known players breaking his rules.

As concerns about the club’s culture persist, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo are only two former examples.

In January 2023, Ronaldo’s contract was terminated during a public chat with Piers Morgan.

The Bundesliga’s top team, Borussia Dortmund, has signed current winger Sancho on loan. Ten Hag and Sancho are still at odds amid concerns over Sancho’s performance in training. The Dutchman was not quite satisfied with his team’s overall performance, though.

Ten Hag went on, “I have conflicting emotions, to be honest.

It’s wonderful to witness from the observer’s neutral point of view. However, as a manager, given how we give up goals, after dominating for an hour, we ought to be up three or four goals.

With 30 goals in all competitions last season, Rashford was United’s leading scorer overall. He recently inked a lucrative contract at Old Trafford through 2023.

Since then, he has fallen short of the heights of the previous campaign and his performance in the team continues to divide opinion.

Ten Hag has declared in the past that he fully believes in the Red Devils No. 10.

“I believe that neither he nor us are content. Ten Hag commented on Rashford’s season-opening performance, saying, “We have high expectations, and he has high expectations of himself.”

He isn’t performing at his best right now. But I’m sure he’ll be return. I’m confident that he will play better and score goals when the squad is performing well. I have no doubts about that.

“He’s fully committed to the team and aware of everything; he will become better and score goals this season. He’ll get back on course.Manage things better; it’s not possible.”
